Why do I need to add a security question and answer to my account?

For full accounts, you will be required to add a financial email address, security question and answer before you can request an e-transfer payment. This information is required by Interac in order to process the electronic payment. You will only be required to set this up once. If you forget these details, they will display on the Account Balance screen in your user account (select the E-Transfer Info button on the Account Balance.)
